Check out Canadian DJ and music producer, Jayda G. She just released her debut album Significant Changes. I have snippets of the album posted below to make it easy for ya. Â
She gives us groovy funky tunes such as Stanley’s Get Down (No Parking on the DF) and Move to the Front (Disco Mix); which happen to be a couple of my fav tracks on the album; especially because they speak to the nature of club-goers and those who would rather be on their phones taking or Shazaming songs instead of dancing. I also love the slower-meditative song Orca’s Reprise, which is a song inspired by her master thesis studies on the health of killer whales off the coast of Vancouver. That’s right, Jayda was studying environmental toxicology for her master’s degree in Resource and Environmental Management while she was globe-trotting as a DJ.
There are 9 songs on the album and I enjoyed each of them. If you are looking for some original fun music with a good message and an old school disco funk feel, then I think you’ll enjoy Significant Changes. Find out more about Jayda G here and tell me what you think of the album.
